Dr. Anthony Haban
Dr. Anthony Haban is your trusted companion animal veterinarian, dedicated to providing exceptional care to pets in Gilbert, IA, and the surrounding areas. With over 10 years of experience, Dr. Haban combines a passion for animals with extensive expertise to ensure your pet receives the highest standard of care.
Dr. Haban began his veterinary journey at Iowa State University, earning a B.S. degree in Animal Science before graduating from the prestigious Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine. He is a proud member of the Iowa Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
As a Fear Free Certified professional, Dr. Haban prioritizes your pet's emotional well-being, ensuring a stress-free experience at the clinic. His skills include preventative care, internal medicine, and surgical procedures, making him a well-rounded practitioner for all your pet’s needs.
Before joining Companion Animal Clinic, Dr. Haban served as Chief of Staff at Ames Pet Hospital, where he honed his skills and deepened his commitment to the pets and families in his community.
When not at the clinic, Dr. Haban enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Allison, their two children, Cora and Miles, and their beloved dog, Tripp. From hiking to fishing, Dr. Haban's love for nature complements his passion for animals.

Savanna
Savanna is from central Iowa and graduated from Ellsworth Community College with an Associates in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. Savanna’s favorite part of working at CAC is getting to interact with both clients and patients, and making meaningful connections. When she isn’t at the clinic, she enjoys reading, being outside, walking and hiking, and spending time with her husband and three pets.
Sarah
Sarah graduated from the University of Iowa in 2020 with a BA in Health & Human Physiology, minors in French and Chemistry, on the pre-veterinary medicine track. She is now attending Penn Foster to get her degree in Veterinary Technology to become an RVT. Sarah loves assisting in surgeries and new client/new patient appointments at CAC. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, playing backyard soccer, and spending time with her two cats, Rainier and Neptune.
Autumn
Autumn is from North Central Iowa and is an undergraduate at Iowa State University; majoring in Animal Science. Her favorite part of working at Companion Animal Clinic is getting to meet new clients and their patients, and building meaningful relationships with them over time. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her dog Jean, reading, and being outdoors - whether that's fishing, rock hunting, or hiking.
Theresa
Theresa is from Northwest Indiana and has a background in Animal Welfare and Sheltering. Her favorite part about working at CAC is making long term connections with clients and contributing to the warm home town feel that CAC provides. When she isn’t at the clinic, she enjoys reading, watching reality TV, trying out new recipes, and hiking to look for cool rocks and animal bones!
